Overview
Financial independence is an important step toward self-respect, safety, and social dignity. At Bharatiya Kinnar Welfare Association, our Employment & Livelihood Assistance service supports members of the kinnar and transgender community in finding meaningful ways to earn, grow, and live with confidence.
Why This Service Matters
Many individuals from the community are capable, hardworking, and talented, but they are often denied opportunities because of social stigma, discrimination, lack of documents, limited education, or lack of workplace acceptance. This forces many people into unstable or unsafe income options.
Our Approach
We guide community members through livelihood counselling, vocational direction, job-readiness support, confidence-building, communication development, and awareness about employment opportunities. We also encourage self-employment, small business ideas, skill-based work, and connections with inclusive organizations.
What We Aim To Build
Our aim is not only to help individuals earn income, but to help them earn with dignity. A respectful livelihood gives a person confidence, decision-making power, security, and a stronger place in society.
Our Impact
Through employment and livelihood assistance, we help individuals move from survival to stability. We support them in building confidence, exploring opportunities, and preparing for a more independent future.
At Bharatiya Kinnar Welfare Association, we believe every person deserves the right to work without fear, ridicule, or exclusion. Our goal is to create pathways where members of the kinnar and transgender community can earn respectfully, support themselves, and participate in society as equal and valued individuals.
